| Purpose | Bingham
Sub-Aqua Club started in 1970, and has been frequenting
Bingham Leisure Centre on a Tuesday night ever since.
The Club was set up for, and is still training people
in the art of Scuba Diving. Many of the current members
joined to learn so that they could dive on holidays,
and just stayed on. Some of the current members learnt
to dive in their teens, left the Club and have since
rejoined.
We currently have in excess of 70 members, most of whom are active divers. The range of experience covers four Nationally Qualified Instructors, six more Dive Leaders on their way to be instructors, Advanced Divers, Dive Leaders, Sports and Ocean Divers, and don't forget the novices - 12 people between starting, and just about ready to be qualified as Ocean Divers We have an amount of Pool and Open Water kit available to our trainees, plus we have recently taken delivery of a 6.5m Humber Rib, which is for those members who want to do Rib Diving.
